London, England
Our first stop was London! We stayed in the Connaught Hotel in Mayfair. Opened in 1815 the Connaught is old and charming with all the modern day amenities. It is rated as one of the top bars and hotels by CNN, GQ magazine UK, and Harper's Bazaar.
EUROPE SUMMER 2017
Windsor Castle
This was a typical touristy day, but, I was blown away when the guards stopped our massive line of tourists to allow the Queen and her entourage to prep for the Ascot, and gave us a clear view from our window!
After our visit to Windsor Castle we explored the charming town surrounding the castle called Berkshire.
By chance we happened to be outside the Tower of London and they were shooting off cannons in honor of the Queen.
Shopping at Liberty London never disappoints!
Paris, France
Honfleur
During our two days in Paris we saw the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and the underground catacombs. I need to go back and explore this amazing city more!
We spent a day in the town of Honfleur with a guide. This is a picture of the Vieux Bassin Harbor. Claude Monet was one of the many artists that enjoyed visiting this town to get inspired. This town is a perfect example of an ancient French town.
This picture was taken at Claude Monet's house in the town of Giverny, France. We did a tour of all of the gardens and his house where he painted.
The palace of Versailles is truly magnificent it is a must see when in France!
Monaco
We had to go inside the famous Monaco Casino...even though I came out with nothing.
This is the view from the royal palace over looking the Monaco Harbor!
Walking through the streets of Monaco! While you may not be able to afford all the stores it's fun to look!
St Tropez, France
St. Tropez was the last place we went and it was the perfect end to our 2 week trip! We stayed in a little hotel called Hotel Byblos!
Chantilly, France
We stayed in a town called Chantilly for our last night! It is home to the Chateau de Chantilly and the Grand Stables. These stables are home to the 'Living Museum of the Horse'.
That concludes this trip!
The view from our hotel room balcony!
There was a huge market in the center of the town. Local vendors were set up selling jewelry, clothing and other local merchandise. The restaurants were also fantastic around the square!
This is one of the beautiful gardens that surrounds the Chateau.
