AMDA Field Trip to Carter's Headquarters

I had the privilege to go with the Apparel Merchandising and Design Association to visit and tour the Carter's Headquarters in Buckhead, Atlanta.

We departed from Auburn at 6:30 AM... and arrived in Atlanta by 10 AM. We were greeted by our guide for the day and taken up 16 floors to a meeting room. There we had speakers come and were given various presentations about Carter's. The company is the leading brand of children’s clothing, gifts and accessories in America, selling more than 10 products for every child born in the U.S. They have also expanded internationally to Canada, Mexico and parts of Europe and Asia. They currently have 7 other brands that they manage under the Carter's name. They are both a retail and wholesale company with over 600 stores worldwide.

Each floor is either an OshKosh floor or Carter's floor. You know this by the displays and the color of the walls and wood.

It's the time of year when the factories send all the samples in to be approved!

Definitely not a bad view to admire while you are eating lunch or on break...

This is one of the break areas. The pictures on the wall are of the employees kids!

Another nice view of Buckhead from 18 floors up!

The architecture and design of the building is so innovative and modern!

The company almost owns the entire building and they are always looking to expand!

It was very interesting to hear about the history and everyday work life! This is a very fun place to work!

They love Auburn students and have a few Auburn grads that work there!

They have some amazing programs for internships and recent college grads that they hire full time to work! I am definitely going to apply for the internship for Summer 2020! The company really helps you through adjusting from college to working in a huge corporate office!
