The Agency de la Mode & Oggy Nikolova

Updated: Jul 1, 2020

How I made a virtual professional relationship with someone across the world during a global pandemic and economic crisis.

I discovered Oggy and the agency through LinkedIn and YouTube. I signed up to take her Fashion Super Intern Course. I learned and developed many new skills that I will use for the rest of my college years and my future career. Everything from resume and cover letter building tips, downloadable templates, skills to add to a resume, how to create your LinkedIn profile, and tips for interviews. I especially loved the second module about LinkedIn. Oggy provided a 300-word statement to message job recruiters inviting them to connect and how to search for these recruiters when looking through a list of all the employees that work for a large company. My LinkedIn profile and resume are the best they are ever going to be, and I have grown my LinkedIn connections significantly. While I am not currently in the job application/ interview process, I took notes to refer back to once I do begin applying to jobs.

After I finished the course, I sent Oggy a thank you email and asked if she could give me feedback on my resume. I was in the process of applying for the National Retail Federation Next Generation Scholarship, so I wanted to ensure it was perfect. She replied within minutes with constructive feedback, and I corrected it, sent it back to her, and she assured me it was as accurate as possible! I ended up being a semifinalist for the scholarship and am currently working on phase two to compete for the top award. I shared with Oggy the great news, and she said to keep in touch, and she can't wait to see all that I will accomplish! I am following her on all social media platforms, and I have promoted The Fashion Super Intern course on my accounts.

The Agency de la Mode offers a lot more than just this course. Oggy offers personal coaching, interview preparation, portfolio curators, mentoring calls, job searching assistance, and downloadable templates & booklets for cover letters, resumes, and to provide job application tips. Founded in 2018, "The Agency de la Mode is a strategic brand building, marketing, and PR consultancy aiming to help all creative talents within the fashion market." Oggy started this to help fashion entrepreneurs achieve ultimate success. She also helps businesses create strategies and achieve their goals. Oggy has her MBA in Luxury Brand Management and nine years of experience working with Luxury and Premium brands and has helped small, independent designers grow.

In other news, the agency is launching a new skills growth platform on July 12th. Inspired by the Fashion Super Intern Course, this portal will allow you to learn new skills every day through practice and easy to view webinars and masterclasses. Resume, cover letter, and portfolio masterclasses, as well as supported by Step-By-Step guides to creating and curating winning applications, are offered. New content provided every month, and you can reach Oggy 24/7 by email. Lastly, there is a 50% off discount offered for all FSI series for the first fifty members!

I am truly so thankful that I discovered the Agency de la Mode. A dream/goal of mine is to one day move and work in London with sustainability. I shared this with Oggy, and she replied, saying she would help me in any way with my potential goal chasing once I have graduated, and she is so excited to see how I will flourish as a professional! I know she is only an email away and will always be there for me once I start the job application process.
